You're coming, right?

Hope to see you here in Lewiston, at the Mill!

See the schedule, then try to fit in an hour or two of volunteering!

Stop at the "Volunteer Table" and find out what you can do!
Easy stuff, mostly. And, there's a real need for folks to help us taking things down on Sunday! That'll be after the convocation --- We're glad to work with you, can you work with us for an hour or two?

Thanks, in advance.

Calling All Cyclists!!!

Critical Mass Lewiston/Auburn

Critical Mass is a monthly bicycle ride to celebrate cycling and to assert cyclists' right to the road. We ride the last Friday of every month, meeting at the Gazebo in Kennedy Park at 5:30pm. CM L/A would like to invite any and all Forum participants to a family friendly leisurely ride through downtown L/A this Friday!

Costumes and noise makers always a plus!

Book and Media Swap at the Forum!

For those attending the Maine Social Forum,

There will be a Book and Media Swap on the second floor of the Bates Mill, in the same location as the info table space. Please bring your used books, cd's, tapes, dvd's, or your own work that you've created and be ready to trade those items with other people!

No pesky distribution laws enforced.
It's the really free kind of free trade...!

Many of the filmmakers will be present to discuss each film’s content or the filmmaking process.

At 2:00 pm on Saturday, there will be a special presentation of The Future of Food with visiting director Deborah Koons Garcia to answer questions.

Visit the FILM FESTIVAL page to check out the films!

Workshop Schedule Coming Soon!

Folks on the Programming Committee are diligently working on the program schedule for the Maine Social Forum. This is a huge undertaking and will take some time to complete. We will be contacting everyone that has submitted workshop forms and work through the process with everyone to best address everyone's needs.

Please be patient and understanding as we try to accommodate the huge number of proposals and needs of all individuals.

The weekend of workshops is looking diverse, stimulating, and very exciting. We will be posting workshop descriptions as soon as possible without room or time assignments so people can get a taste for what is coming. This listing however, will be subject to change and is only meant to give people an idea of what kind of workshops will be taking place! We hope to have a full schedule of events nailed down a week prior to the Forum.

Thanks for your patience and excitement!
